Whenever I look at the Thirdson Construction website, I sigh with longing.
Their houses are just so epic and beautiful, and when David approached me to help redesign their website, I couldn’t wait to use the photos of their simply stunning work to showcase to the world exactly what these guys do.
And then I started working closer with David and his team and realised; not only do they have an immaculate sense of pride in their work, they are possibly one of the most ethical building companies I’ve come across; emphases on sustainable design, reusing materials, minimising construction waste, and new, eco-friendly building practises.
Suffice to say, I wanted to make a website that sang their praises. With a WordPress an Advanced Custom Fields backbone, I created a bespoke design that, while content-rich for SEO purposes, emphasised the sheer beauty of their portfolio of house builds across Brisbane and Ipswich.
Each project has a pride of place in their portfolio, utilising a gallery to maximise photo space (that I’ve custom coded; I got sick of bloated gallery plugins, so have come up with my own lightweight, bespoke solution). And for that added branding recognition, I’ve set a lot of the headings around images, to ensure the angles of their (existing) logo are carried throughout the rest of the site, really linking the design together.
I’ve been continuing work with Thirdson Construction to elevate their SEO, and can’t wait see their next building project!
